An ex Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairman and a former president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines will be the panelists in the second Servant Leadership Halalan Forum 2016 on Friday, March 11, 2016 to be aired by Radio Veritas 846 from 9am to 10:30am.
Atty. Christian Monsod, former Chairman of the Philippine Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and member of the 1986 Constitutional Commission that drafted the present constitution and Most Rev. Oscar Cruz, D.D., archbishop emeritus of Lingayen-Dagupan and former President of the CBCP will talk about the second quality of a servant leader – empathy (NAKIKIRAMAY siya sa mga taong nasasakupan niya sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng pagkakataon na makausap siya sa kaniyang tanggapan).
The Veritas Servant Leadership Halalan Forum 2016 is a Radio Veritas special election forum series that will focus on the ten qualities of a servant leader that should be the gauge for the voters in choosing their candidates.
The ten qualities for a servant leader presented by Radio Veritas includes listening, empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, stewardship, commitment to the growth of the people, and building community are adapted from the servant-leadership theoretical framework first proposed by Robert K. Greenleaf. These qualities shall also be discussed in the series of forums to be aired by Radio Veritas.
This Friday’s episode will be anchored by Msgr. Pedro Quitorio III, director of the CBCP media office and Ms. Angelique Lazo-Mayuga.
Last Monday, March 9, 2016, Veritas aired the first “Veritas Servant Leadership Halalan Forum 2016”, with Mr. Charlito S. Ayco, Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity Philippines and Mr. Roy Calleja, Chairman, Pilipino Movement for Transformational Leadership and Brotherhood for Christian Businessmen and Professionals. Both emphasized the importance of listening as a quality of a servant leader.
The Veritas Servant Leadership Halalan Forum 2016 can also be watched through live streaming at www.veritas846.ph and will have a delayed telecast at TV Maria aired at Dream Satellite’s Channel 12, Sky Cable’s Channel 160, and Global Destiny’s Channel 91.
