Ang Mabuting Balita, 19 Nobyembre 2023 – Mateo 25: 14-30
MABUTING SIKLO
Noong panahong iyon, sinabi ni Jesus sa kanyang mga alagad ang talinghagang ito: “Ang paghahari ng Diyos ay maitutulad dito: May isang taong maglalakbay, kaya tinawag niya ang kanyang mga alipin at ipinagkatiwala sa kanila ang kanyang ari-arian. Binigyan niya ng salapi ang bawat isa ayon sa kanya-kanyang kakayahan: binigyan niya ang isa ng limanlibong piso, ang isa nama’y dalawanlibong piso, at ang isa pa’y sanlibong piso. Pagkatapos, siya’y umalis. Humayo agad ang tumanggap ng limanlibong piso at ipinangalakal iyon. At nagtubo siya ng limanlibong piso. Gayun din naman, ang tumanggap ng dalawanlibong piso ay nagtubo ng dalawanlibong piso. Ngunit ang tumanggap ng sanlibong piso ay humukay sa lupa at itinago ang salapi ng kanyang panginoon.
“Pagkaraan ng mahabang panahon, bumalik ang panginoon ng mga aliping iyon at pinapagsulit sila. Lumapit ang tumanggap ng limang libo. Wika niya, ‘Panginoon, heto po ang limanlibo na bigay ninyo sa akin. Heto pa po ang limanlibo na tinubo ko.’ Sinabi sa kanya ng panginoon, ‘Magaling! Tapat at mabuting alipin! Yamang naging tapat ka sa kaunting halaga, pamamahalain kita sa malaking halaga. Makihati ka sa aking kagalakan!’ Lumapit din ang tumanggap ng dalawanlibong piso, at ang sabi, ‘Panginoon, heto po ang ibinigay ninyong dalawanlibong piso. Heto naman po ang dalawanlibong pisong tinubo ko.’ Sinabi ng kanyang panginoon, ‘Magaling! Tapat at mabuting alipin! Naging tapat ka sa kaunting halaga, kaya pamamahalain kita sa malaking halaga. Makihati ka sa aking kagalakan.’ At lumapit naman ang tumanggap ng sanlibong piso. ‘Alam ko pong kayo’y mahigpit,’ aniya. ‘Gumagapas kayo sa hindi ninyo tinamnan, at nag-aani sa hindi ninyo hinasikan. Natakot po ako, kaya’t ibinaon ko sa lupa ang inyong salapi. Heto na po ang sanlibong piso ninyo.’ ‘Masama at tamad na alipin!’ Tugon ng kanyang panginoon. ‘Alam mo palang gumagapas ako sa hindi ko tinamnan at nag-aani sa hindi ko hinasikan! Bakit hindi mo iyan inilagak sa bangko, di sana’y may nakuha akong tubo ngayon? Kunin ninyo sa kanya ang sanlibong piso at ibigay sa may sampunlibong piso. Sapagkat ang mayroon ay bibigyan pa, at mananagana; ngunit ang wala, kahit ang kakaunting nasa kanya ay kukunin pa. Itapon ninyo sa kadiliman sa labas ang aliping walang kabuluhan. Doo’y tatangis siya at magngangalit ang kanyang ipin.’”

Noong tayo’y nilikha ng Diyos, binigyan niya tayo ng mga talento o mga natatanging kakayahan na maaring lumitaw kahit tayo ay mga bata pa. Kung tayo ay mapalad na magkaroon ng mga magulang o mga taong tumatayong magulang na makakatuklas nito at magbibigay ng pagkakataong mahasa ang mga ito, malalaman natin ang misyon ng Diyos para sa atin ng maaga. Pagdating ng panahon at magsimula tayong gamitin ang mga ito para sa ikabubuti ng sangkatauhan, ito ay tutubo, sapagkat kung mayroong “vicious cycle” o masamang siklo, mayroon ding “virtuous cycle” o MABUTING SIKLO. Kung iisipin natin, bakit naman nating mas gugustuhin na maging bahagi ng masamang siklo na sisira hindi lang sa ating sarili kundi pati ng ibang tao?
Ayon sa isang siyentipikong pananaliksik, nararamdaman natin na ang ating buhay ay may kabuluhan sa edad 60. Napakagandang panahon na maramdaman ito sapagkat ito ang karaniwang edad ng pagretiro sa trabaho. Marahil ito rin ay sapagkat kapag tayo ay tumigil na sa pagtatrabaho, nagsisimula tayong tumingin sa ating nakalipas na mga tagumpay, at nakikita na natin kung paano natin ginamit ang ating mga kakayahan. Isipin na lang natin kung sa pagtingin natin sa nakalipas, ang makita natin ay ang maling paggamit o ang mga nasayang na kakayahan na tinanggap natin mula sa Diyos. Napakasakit na pagreretiro kung malaman natin na hindi natin ginampanan ang misyon ng Diyos dito sa mundo, katulad ng alipin sa ebanghelyo na nagbaon sa lupa ng salaping binigay ng kanyang panginoon.
Tulungan mo kami Panginoon, na ibigay ang aming sarili sa iba sa pamamagitan ng mga kakayahang ibinigay mo sa amin!
