ACCEPT AND USE
Jesus said to his disciples: “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming. He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.”

When Adam and Eve fell, one would presume they were already doomed to suffer the consequences of their disobedience. But because we are so beloved, God made a perfect plan. And slowly and surely, he penetrated humankind choosing people (even unlikely ones) to prepare for the coming of a Saviour. Who would have thought that the Saviour would be his Son? Who would have thought that the Son of God, would become man? Aside from their hardheadedness, it is no wonder that the Jews couldn’t accept or understand how this could be possible. Who would have thought the Father would allow his Son to go through all that ridicule, suffering and death in the hands of humans. It was Adam and Eve all over again! Who would have thought of Jesus’ Resurrection?
We may have thought that with Jesus’ Resurrection, the Father’s plan of salvation has ended. Well, we can say, it had just began. His gift of salvation is for us to ACCEPT AND USE. He sent the Holy Spirit to make sure that when we ACCEPT AND USE the gift, we will be well-equipped. Like Creation which has not stopped from the beginning, Salvation is on-going and will reach its finality at the end of the world when Christ will come again!
Lord, move us with your Spirit always!
