Gospel Reading for October 03, 2025 – Luke 10: 13-16
ONE AND ONLY
Jesus said to them, “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. And as for you, Capernaum, ‘Will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to the netherworld.’ Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”

Jesus is the ONE AND ONLY mediator between the Father and humankind. If we listen to him and act upon what he says, we are sure to be on the right path towards the Father in eternal bliss. The Father sent him to us, to live among us, so we may know how to live life in its fullest and purest. He sent Jesus to us so that through him, we may come to know the kind of Father he is and how much he loves each and everyone of us.
We are so blessed to have known Jesus and to hear him everyday as we read the gospels, such that in whatever situation we find ourselves, he provides us with wisdom and strength, and gives us consolation and compassion.
Thank you, Father! Thank you, Jesus!
