Gospel Reading for January 23, 2025 – Mark 3: 7-12
NOTHING’S CHANGED
Jesus withdrew toward the sea with his disciples. A large number of people followed from Galilee and from Judea. Hearing what he was doing, a large number of people came to him also from Jerusalem, from Idumea, from beyond the Jordan, and from the eneighborhood of Tyre and Sidon. He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, so that they would not crush him. He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases
were pressing upon him to touch him. And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him and shout, “You are the Son of God.” He warned them sternly not to make him known.

It is not only today, but even during Jesus’ time that healers are run after by the sick. When doctors or medicines fail, their only recourse is “HEALING BY FAITH.” If we firmly believe in the MIGHTY POWER OF GOD, it will truly make a lot of difference!
We also remember that sinfulness is a sort of possession of the evil one, and the devil is so very afraid of him! If we go to Jesus for help, we can become the original persons again – made in God’s image and likeness.
Jesus is always available to us, as he was then. NOTHING’S CHANGED. He is still the one we can run to and expect to be healed.
Thank you, Jesus, for your love!
