PROMPTER

Jesus said to his disciples: “Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.” Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him, “Master, then what happened that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; yet the word you hear is not mine but that of the Father who sent me.

“I have told you this while I am with you. The Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name– he will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.”
————

Indeed, the Holy Spirit does not just strengthen and inspire us. The Holy Spirit is like a PROMPTER. He will remind us of all the teachings of Jesus especially when we have to make big or small decisions in life. Sometimes, we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday living, that we forget to give space for Jesus. When we forget to give space for Jesus in our life, it is when our life loses its meaning and focus. We become like a robot whose remote control is in the hand of an influencer who will use us as he/she pleases.
We need to pray to the Holy Spirit everyday, if we are to keep our focus on Jesus and wish not to stray from the road to Eternity!

Let us ponder on this song, O ESPIRITU SANTO –
O Espiritu Santo!
Manahan ka sa puso ko;
Nang malaman ang tunay
sa `di totoo;
Nang maging matatag
sa harap ng tukso.
O Espiritu Santo!
Manahan ka sa puso ko;
Nang sa Diyos ay
laging magpatotoo;
Nang kabanalan makamtan ko.
