Nagpapasalamat ang Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerant People at Stella Maris Philippines sa mga Overseas Filipino Worker sa patuloy na pagsakripisyo para sa pag-unlad ng Pilipinas.
Ito ang papuri ni CBCP-ECMI Vice-chairman at Stella Maris Philippines CBCP Bishop Promoter Antipolo Bishop Ruperto Santos sa mga O-F-W sa ipinadalang 38.34-billion US Dollars na remittance sa taong 2024.
Ayon sa Obispo, dahil sa remittances ng mga OFW ay lumago ang ekonomiya ng Pilipinas at lumakas ang purchasing power ng kanilang pamilya sa bansa.
“As your CBCP Stella Maris bishop promoter, along with your chaplains, we are deeply moved by the unwavering dedication and sacrifice you make for the betterment of your families and our beloved nation, This remarkable achievement is a proof of your hard work, perseverance, and love for your families. Your contributions have been a significant lifeline, not only for those you hold dear but also for the Philippine economy, bolstering our nation’s growth and prosperity,” ayon sa mensahe ni Bishop Santos para sa mga OFW na ipinadala ng Obispo sa Radio Veritas.
Tiniyak naman ni Bishop Santos na kasama ng mga OFW maging ng kanilang pamilya ang simbahan sa kanilang pagpupunyagi na mapaunlad ang pamumuhay.
Inihayag ng Obispo na kasama sa lahat ng mga misa at pananalangin ang mga OFW at pamilya para sa kanilang maayos na kalagayan at kaligtasan.
