Radio Veritas the leading faith-based AM station in the Philippines recently received recognition from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa for the stations support for the University’s transformative Education agenda for social development.

Radio Veritas Public Relations Officer Dec Bartolome received the plaque of recognition during the University’s Stakeholder’s Summit on December 20, 2016 at the Acacia Hotel, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

With the theme, “Bringing Partnerships toward Transformative Education 2016”, PLMun recognized private and government institutions who gave the University support through assistance in work related programs which contributed to the social, academic and learning skills of their graduates.

The station was recognized for the cooperation and partnership it has extended to the BA Communication students of PLMun to produce the September Edition of Campus Hour Season 7, a youth-oriented program of Radio Veritas that features content solely produced by college students from various higher learning institutions from Metro Manila and nearby areas. Each participating school is given four consecutive episodes every season.

The youth-oriented program aims to provide communication students the opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity and take part in the evangelization program of Radio Veritas through nationwide radio broadcast and global outreach through the internet.

Muntinlupa Polytechnic College was established in 1991. In 2003, through the City Ordinance No. 03-089 it was converted to Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun). It has now attained recognition by CHED as leading Higher Educational Institution (HEI) offering of various relevant courses such as: General Education, Criminal Justice, Teacher Education, Business Administration, Arts and Sciences, Information Technology and Computer Studies.

Radio Veritas 846 is owned and operated by the Archdiocese of Manila. Established in 1969, the Ramon Magsaysay recipient Catholic radio station continues to be the leading social communications ministry for truth and evangelization in the country today.
