Gospel Reading for May 26, 2024 – Matthew 28: 16-20

Solemnity of the
Most Holy Trinity
The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they all saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Jesus introduced the Father to us: our Creator from whom all good things come; Jesus introduced himself to us: the Only Begotten Son of the Father, our Savior and Lord; The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, descended upon us on Pentecost to provide us with everything we need to attain Christ’s salvation. The union is PERFECT.
The mystery of the Holy Trinity has been revealed to us. It is a mystery that will remain a mystery because this is one of those that human minds cannot fathom, but at least, because of Jesus having lived in our midst, we now know that God is TRIUNE. Instead of breaking our heads trying to delve into this mystery, it is better to feel BLESSED that God has given all that we need for us to sustain truly meaningful lives, with Eternity as our goal. Instead of breaking our heads trying to delve into this mystery, it is better to feel SECURE that Jesus will be with us until the end of the age. NO WORRIES. BE HAPPY.
