“There are 17 new Cardinals na na-announce by the Pope, walang Pinoy but Malaysia will have their first Cardinal ever, Bangladesh also and Papua New Guinea their first ever Cardinals,” pahayag ni Cardinal sa Radio Veritas.
So I think the holy father is taking ‘the peripheries’ seriously. There is one Italian among the new cardinals. But he is based in Syria as apostolic nuncio. During these past years of violence and conflict his residence has been damaged too but he remains with the people. Making him cardinal is a beautiful sign of the church’s solidarity with the suffering and an appeal for peace,”pahayag ni Cardinal Tagle.
Archbishop Mario Zenari in Italy
Archbishop Dieudonné Nzapalainga in Central African Republic
