His Eminence Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle will be the keynote speaker in the forthcoming Servant Leadership in Business Conference slated on January 31, 2018 at the Rizal Ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel, Makati City.
The one-day conference will center on the qualities of true servant leaders which aims to instill among the participants the desire and commitment to practice Servant Leadership as an integral part of business.
Servant leadership is an act of service or a way of leading which ensures that other people’s highest priority needs are being acted upon, according to author Kent Keith. Vision & values are established upfront and common goals are shared by both the servant leader and his followers. The difference is the intent to serve first, then to aspire to lead.
The first Servant Leadership Conference was held in June, 2013 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Pasay City coinciding the “Year of the Faith,” declared by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. It was intended for and attended by a thousand Church leaders, the clergy and the laity.
Responding to the call of Pope Francis on leadership, the Serviam CCC Foundation held the second conference, “Servant Leadership in Public Service” on July 2-3, 2015 at the grand ballroom of Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Ortigas Center, Quezon City. It is part of Serviam’s advocacy to propagate servant leadership as a way of life in all facets of society, i.e., the family, in government, business, church, media, etc.
Conference fee is at Php 3,000 from October 1 to November 15, 2017, Php 3,500 from November 16 to December 31, 2017 and Php 4,000 from January 1 to January 31, 2017
Servant Leadership in Business Conference is organized and presented by Serviam CCC Foundation, which was established in June 2003 by Catholic lay leader, Antonio B. de los Reyes, with the blessing of His Eminence Jaime Cardinal Sin who graciously offered the use of his Episcopal motto, “Serviam,” Latin for “I will serve,” as its name. It is currently chaired by His Eminence Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle with Rev. Fr. Anton C. T. Pascual serving as its Spiritual Director.
