Tiniyak ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines – Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerants (CBCP-ECMI) at Diyosesis ng Balanga ang palaging pananalangin at pag-aalay ng misa para sa kaluluwa ng mga namayapa.
Ayon kay Balanga Bataan Bishop Ruperto Santos – Vice-chairman ng CBCP-ECMI, isinasagawa ito sa Diocese of Balanga upang maibsan ang alalahanin ng mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) na hindi makadalaw sa puntod ng kanilang mga mahal sa buhay higit na tuwing sasapit ang Undas.
“Let all our words and works be true, right and moral so that we can be at peace with God. Let us live honestly, faithfully and just before God and His people so that we will rest, live in peace,” ayon sa mensaheng ipinadala ni Bishop Santos sa Radio Veritas.
Sa naging paggunita ng Undas 2022, hinimok ni San Fernando La Union Bishop Daniel Presto ang bawat mananampalataya na ipanalangin ang mga yumaong mahal sa buhay at isabuhay ang Gawain ng mga santo.
“All powerful God, Whose mercy is never withheld from those who call upon you in hope, look kindly on your servants (Name and Name.), who departed from ths life confessing your name, and number them among your saints for evermore. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. (Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory be…) Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord. R: And let perpetual lighj shine upon them. May they rest in peace. R: Amen. May their souls and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace,” panalanging ipinadala ni Bishop Presto sa Radio Veritas.
Sa pinakabagong datos ng Philippine Statistics Authority noong Marso 2022, aabot sa 1.77-milyon ang bilang ng mga OFW sa ibayong dagat.
