Radio Veritas, the leading faith-based AM station in the Philippines, is inviting the faithful for the public veneration of the image of young Virgin Mary from August 30 to September 8, 2016 at the Our Lady of Veritas Chapel.

Radio Veritas President Rev. Fr. Anton C.T. Pascual said that this endeavor is part of the station’s initiative to encourage the public to foster devotion to Our Blessed Mother.

“We encourage the Catholic faithful to foster devotion to Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Mother of Church, to pray for her intercession and ask for the grace of God because she is the path towards salvation and peace,” Fr. Pascual said.

His Holiness Pope Francis noted that Blessed Virgin Mary is the mother of mercy full of hope, grace and holy gladness.

“The gift that Mary bestows in offering us Jesus is the forgiveness which renews life, enables us once more to do God’s will and fills us with true happiness. This grace frees the heart to look to the future with the joy born of hope,” Pope Francis said.

The nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated on September 8.

Devotees may visit the image of La Nina Maria from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Our Lady of Veritas Chapel in Quezon City. Catholic faithful may also venerate the first class relic “ex capillis”( from the hair) and second class relic “ex indumentis”( from the clothing) of Blessed Mother Teresa of Kolkata (Calcutta) until the date of her canonization on September 4, 2016. For inquiries, please call Ms. Renee Jose or Mr. Rey Isabela at (02) 925-7932 to 39 local 129.

Radio Veritas 846, the number one faith-based am radio in the Philippines, is owned and operated by the Archdiocese of Manila. Established in 1969, the Ramon Magsaysay recipient Catholic radio station continues to be the leading social communications ministry for truth and evangelization in the country today.
