Nakiramay ang Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines sa pamilya Aquino kasunod ng pagpanaw ni dating Pangulong Benigno Simeon Aquino III.
Sa pahayag ni CBCP President Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles kinilala ng kalipunan ng mga obispo sa bansa ang mabuting nagawa at pangangasiwa ng dating punong ehekutibo at ang pagpapatuloy sa pagtaguyod ng demokrasya na pinasimulan at ipinaglaban ng kanyang mga magulang.
“The bishops in the Philippines will remember President Aquino for his deep dedication to democracy, good governance and the dignity of the human person. We are grateful for the mutual respect that existed between his administration and the Catholic Church in the Philippines, rooted in our unwavering faith in the Triune God, and our shared commitment to build a just, humane society, especially for those who are in need,” bahagi ng mensahe ni Archbishop Valles.
Pumanaw si dating Pangulong NoyNoy Aquino umaga ng Hunyo 24 dahil sa karamdaman.
Pinasalamatan ng CBCP ang dating pinuno ng bansa na buo ang suporta sa Simbahang Katolika lalo na sa mahahalagang gawain tulad ng pagbisita ng Kanyang Kabanalan Francisco noong 2015.
“We remember too, with gratitude, the role and participation he and his administration played in ensuring the success of the Canonization of Blessed Pedro Calungsod in 2012, the Apostolic Visit of Pope Francis in 2015, and the 51st International Eucharistic Congress in Cebu City in 2016, ” dagdag ng arsobispo.
Nauna nang nagpaabot si Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula ng panalangin sa kapayapaan ng kaluluwa ni Aquino sa misang ginanap sa Manila Cathedral sa kasabay ng pagtalaga nito.
Dalangin din ni Archbishop Valles ang katatagan ng pamilya Aquino sa pagdadalamhati sa pagpanaw ng dating pangulo at kaisa sa pagluluksa ng sambayanang Filipino.

Magsasagawa ng public viewing sa ‘cremated remains’ ni Pnoy sa Church of the Gesu sa Ate so de Manila University sa Hunyo 25, 2021 mula alas 10 ng umaga hanggang alas 10 ng gabi upang mabigyan pagkakataon ang mamamayan na magbigay pugay sa ika 15 pangulo ng bansa.
Alas singko ng hapon at alas otso ng gabi isasagawa ang requiem mass habang ililibing ang mga labi nito sa Taguig Heritage sa tabi ng puntod ni dating Senador Ninoy Aquino at dating pangulong Corazon Aquino.
