The WORD. The TRUTH.

When it comes to believing in angels and archangels, we, modern men and women, are prey to two temptations. The first temptation, when we are taught about angels, is to disbelieve them completely – to say completely that they do not exist. Many of us have been influenced by the principle that the only matter that matters is matter. If you do not see a thing, it does not exist. That is a temptation to which modern men and women are most prone.

We cannot see angels. Angels are spiritual beings. If you see an angel, then that is not an angel, because an angel is not supposed to be seen. An angel is an invisible creature of God.

You do not see angels. I repeat, when you say that you’ve seen an angel, I can assure you that what you’ve seen is not an angel.

The other extreme is to believe in angels and to be so obsessed about angels that they become like “little gods.” And many of us have fallen into this temptation. For example, we rely on the protection of angels. There’s nothing wrong with that. But you must not forget that angels also need the protection of God. For example, angels have a way of knowing what we, human beings, do not have. There is nothing wrong with that. But it is wrong to say that angels know everything because only God knows everything.

These are the temptations to which we are subjected. Let us look into our hearts and ourselves and see where we have fallen. Have you given in to the temptation of completely disbelieving invisible realities, or have you been tempted to believe in and be so obsessed with the idea of angels?

Angels are God’s gifts to us. They carry a message. You also carry a message.
