Nagpahayag ng pakikiramay ang Mother Butler Guild (MBG) sa pagpanaw ni Jaro Archbishop-Emeritus Angel Lagdameo.
Ayon kay former ambassador to the Holy See Henrietta De Villa -pangulo ng MBG, nakalulungkot ang pagpanaw ng arsobispo na matagal na nagsilbing National Spiritual Director ng Mother Butler Guild (MBG) at naging aktibo rin sa paggabay sa Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).
Paliwanag ni De Villa, isang mabuting pastol si Archbishop Lagdameo na tahimik na nakikibahagi sa iba’t ibang mga pinagdaraanang pagsubok ng kanyang kawan.
“He was not just a Spiritual Director, but the type of good shepherd who walks with his flock. His bias for the vulnerable and pro-active involvement in bringing to them relief thru the good news that is Christ was not the loud and noisy type, rather it was thru his gentle persistent accompaniment that encouraged our faith on fire for PPCRV, and our humble joyful service for the Mother Butler Guild,” ang bahagi ng mensahe ni De Villa sa Radio Veritas.
Ayon pa kay De Villa, malaki rin ang tulong ng arsobispo sa higit na pagpapalalim ng pananampalataya, misyon, bokasyon, at paglilingkod sa Simbahan at sa Panginoon ng mga kasapi ng Mother Butler Guild sa buong bansa gayundin ng mga volunteer ng PPCRV.
Ibinahagi rin ni De Villa ang kanyang ang lubos na pagdadalamhati sa pagkawala ni Archbishop Lagdameo na kanyang naging personal na kaibigan sa loob ng mahabang panahon.
“Personally, Archbishop Lagdameo was my angel friend. My heart mourns the loss of this faithful man of God who loved the Church, but my spirit rejoices that now he is our angel in heaven,” dagdag pa ni De Villa.
