Nananawagan ng kahinahunan sa mga Filipino Migrants na nais magtungo sa Kuwait ang Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Episcopal on Migrants ang Itinerant People (CBCP-ECMI).
Ayon kay Balanga Bishop Ruperto Santos – Vice-chairman ng CBCP-ECMI, ginagawa na ng pamahalaan ang lahat ng hakbang upang makapunta sa Kuwait ang mga Overseas Filipino workers at Migrants.
“It is inspiring and encouraging that our DFA officials and our DMW are doing everything find positive solutions in favour of our first time OFWs in Kuwait. Dialogues are first step to thresh out misinformation and misconceptions, when our government officials went there and to speak with the Kuwaiti officials are positive efforts and visible signs of their concern and caring ways for our OFWs,” mensaheng ipinadala ni Bishop Santos sa Radio Veritas.
Ang mensahe ng Obispo ay matapos itigil ng Kuwait ang pagbibigay ng visa sa mga Pilipinong pupunta sa bansa na resulta ng pananatili ng Deployment ban ng mga Overseas Filipino Workers.
“We pray and hope that mutual efforts and bilateral agreements will be the best, beneficial for all, there will be successful and fruitful conclusion of their meeting,” bahagi pa ng mensahe ni Bishop Santos.
Unang tiniyak ng DFA ang agad na pakikipagpulong sa mga opisyal ng Kuwait upang magkaroon ng bagong kasunduan.
