Dominican Province of the Philippines Prior Provincial will be the guest speaker of the Katolikong Pinoy Formation Series for this month.
Rev. Fr. Gerard Francisco Timoner III, OP will give a talk on the topic “Contemplating the Face of Christ with Mary, the Woman of the Eucharist,” on October 15, 2016 at the Lay Formation Center, San Carlos Pastoral Formation Complex in Makati City.
Fr. Timoner is currently the Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines. He is also the Vice Chancellor of the University of Santo Tomas. In 2014, he was appointed by the Holy Father as one of the new members of the International Theological Commission for a term of five years, until 2019.
The Archdiocese of Manila with the help and support of the Office for the Promotion of the New Evangelization (OPNE), the Campus Ministry under the Commission on Youth Affairs and the Marian Solidarity for Pope Francis conducted a series of activities in dedication to Mary as the Mother of Mercy and Jesus, the face of the father’s Mercy as part of the month-long Marian Jubilee celebration this October.
The 2016 Katolikong Pinoy Formation Series is a year-long activity at the Lay Formation Center (LAYFORCE) program of the Archdiocese of Manila with the general theme, “Year of Mercy: A Season of Grace to Renew, Respond and Reconcile.” The talks are held every third Saturday of the month from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Lay Formation Center, San Carlos Pastoral Formation Complex, EDSA Guadalupe, Makati City. Admission is free.
This month’s Katolikong Pinoy Formation will be aired live in Radio Veritas 846 on the AM band. Public affairs programs, “Magkabiyak sa Batas” and “Veritasan” will give way for this special programming. The formation can also be watched via live streaming at www.veritas846.ph and in TV Maria on Dream Channel 1, Sky Cable Channel 210 and Global Destiny Channel 96.
