Inaanyayahan ng Friends of St. Carlo Acutis Philippines (FSCAPh) ang mga mananampalatayang Pilipino na makiisa sa makasaysayang pagdalaw ng first class relic ng batang santo, si San Carlo Acutis, sa bansa.
Ayon kay Fr. Jerome Ponce, OFM, national spiritual director ng FSCAPh, ito ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na dadalhin sa Pilipinas ang first class relic ng santo mula mismo sa Assisi, Italy, kung saan nakahimlay si St. Carlo Acutis.
“With great joy and gratitude, we invite you to join us in welcoming the first-class relic of St. Carlo Acutis, the pericardium, marking the first Philippine pilgrimage to come directly from Assisi in Italy, where the saint rests in peace,” pahayag ni Fr. Ponce sa panayam ng Radyo Veritas.
Ang relikya, ang pericardium o bahagi ng laman na bumabalot sa puso ng santo, ay darating sa bansa sa November 28 at iikot sa piling mga diyosesis, parokya, at Catholic institutions hanggang December 15.
Binanggit ni Fr. Ponce na ang pagdalaw ng relikya ay isang makabuluhang biyaya na magbibigay-inspirasyon sa mga mananampalataya, lalo na sa mga kabataan, upang higit na mapalalim ang kanilang debosyon sa Banal na Eukaristiya, na siyang sentro ng kabanalan ni San Carlo.
“This grace-filled visit is a powerful reminder of God’s call to holiness in our modern world. His life continues to inspire countless young people and families to rediscover the beauty of faith, prayer, and the sacraments, most especially the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist,” dagdag pa ng pari.
Hinikayat din ni Fr. Ponce ang mga kabataan at buong pamayanan na makibahagi sa mga gawaing inihanda para sa pagdalaw ng relikya, kabilang ang Banal na Misa, veneration of the relic, at iba pang aktibidad bilang paggalang kay San Carlo Acutis.
“May this historic visit strengthen us in our faith, especially among our young people, and draw us closer to Jesus in the Eucharist,” ani Fr. Ponce.
Pangungunahan ni Malolos Bishop Dennis Villarojo, bilang Episcopal Promoter ng Friends of St. Carlo Acutis Philippines, ang pagtanggap sa relikya ng santo. Kasama rin sina Fr. Ponce at mga kasapi ng FSCAPh sa pagtanggap.
Samantala, si Msgr. Anthony Figueiredo, Director of International Affairs and Custodian of the Pericardium Relic of St. Carlo Acutis for the Diocese of Assisi, ang siyang magdadala ng relikya mula sa Italy papunta sa Pilipinas.
Ang pagdalaw na ito ay inaasahang magbibigay ng bagong alab ng pananampalataya sa mga Pilipinong Katoliko, lalo na sa mga kabataan, upang tularan ang halimbawa ni San Carlo Acutis, ang tinaguriang “saint of the digital age.”
