Inaanyayahan ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) ang bawat isa na makibahagi sa paggunita ng pagtatapos ng Year of Saint Joseph sa ika-8 ng Disyembre, 2021 kasabay ng Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Nasasaad sa liham sirkular ni CBCP President at Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles ang paanyaya sa lahat para sa dalawang mahalagang gawain bilang rurok ng paggunita sa kabanalan ni San Jose.
Kabilang sa nasabing gawain ay ang National Consecration of Families to Saint Joseph o ang pagtatalaga ng pamilyang Pilipino sa pangangalaga ni San Jose at ang paglulunsad ng Men of St. Joseph – Philippines sa lahat ng mga parokya sa buong bansa.
“On December 8, we will be closing the “Year of Saint Joseph” coinciding with the celebration of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Ad-hoc Committee on the Year of Saint Joseph has prepared several activities to fittingly culminate this whole-year celebration. First, is the National Consecration of Families to Saint Joseph and second, the Launching of the Men of St. Joseph – Philippines in all parishes throughout the country.” Ang bahagi ng liham sirkular ni CBCP President at Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles.
Ayon kay Archbishop Valles ang nakatakdang pagtatalaga ng sarili at ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino sa pangangalaga ni San Jose ay isa ring kongkretong paraan ng pagpapamalas ng pagtitiwala a pananampalataya sa “fatherly care, protection, and guidance” ni San Jose hindi lamang bilang patron ng Simbahang Katolika kundi bilang huwaran sa pagiging isang mabuting asawa kay Maria at ama kay Hesus.
Pagbabahagi ng Arsobispo layunin din ng nakatakdang National Consecration of Families to Saint Joseph na higit na mapalalim ang debosyon ng bawat isa kay San Jose na isang pambihirang halimbawa sa pagkakaroon ng mga naaangkop na katangian sa pagsunod sa kaloob ng Panginoon.
“Consecrating ourselves and our families to St. Joseph is an act of entrustment to his fatherly care, protection, and guidance. The goal of this consecration is to imitate St. Joseph’s virtue, example, and closeness with Christ.” Dagdag pa ni Archbishop Valles.
Inaasahang pangungunahan ni Diocese of Kalookan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David ang pananalangin ng Santo Rosaryo at nakatakdang Act of Consecration of Families to St. Joseph bilang bagong Pangulo ng Kalipunan ng mga Obispo sa ika-8 ng Disyembre ganap na alas-onse ng umaga sa San Roque Cathedral ng Diyosesis ng Kalookan.
“Thus, on December 8, at 11:00 a.m., His Excellency Most Rev. Pablo Virgilio S. David, Bishop of Kalookan and who by that time will be the CBCP President together with some representatives of families in his diocese will lead the praying of the Holy Rosary and the Act of Consecration of Families to St. Joseph at the Cathedral of San Roque in the Diocese of Kalookan.” Pagbabahagi ni Archbishop Valles.
Bahagi rin ng tagubilin ni Archbishop Valles sa lahat ng mga arsobispo at obispo mula sa iba’t ibang diyosesis at arkidiyosesis sa buong bansa ang pagsasagawa ng banal na misa matapos ang Act of Consecration of Families to St. Joseph.
Bukod dito, hinihikayat rin ng Arsobispo ang bawat parokya na ilunsad ang Men of St. Joseph na isang Catholic Association of Men committed to Jesus Christ and consecrated to St. Joseph.
Paliwanag ni Archbishop Valles ang paglulunsad ng naturang bagong lay association sa bansa ay tugon ng Simbahang Katolika sa Pilipinas sa panawagan ng Santo Papa Francisco na higit na palalimin ang debosyn kay San Jose bilang patron ng Simbahang Katolika kung saan magsisilbing propagator at spiritual guide ng bagong lay association ang Oblates of St. Joseph.
“All Parish churches are also hereby requested to launch the Men of St. Joseph- a Catholic Association of Men committed to Jesus Christ and consecrated to St. Joseph. The institution of this lay association is the Philippine Church’s response to the call of Pope Francis as contained in his Apostolic Letter – Patris Corde, encouraging us to reflect upon the role of St. Joseph in caring and loving our Savior with the Father’s heart. The priests of the Oblates of St. Joseph humbly accepted the honor of being the propagator and spiritual guide of this association.” Ang bahagi ng tagubilin ni Archbishop Valles.
Matatandaang nakasaad sa Liham Apostoliko ng Kanyang Kabanalan Francisco na may titulong “Patris Corde” ang deklarasyon ng Santo Papa Francisco sa pagdiriwang ng Year of Saint Joseph mula Disyembre 8, 2020 hanggang Disyembre 8, 2021 bilang paggunita na rin sa ika-150 anibersaryo ng pagkakadeklara kay San Jose bilang Patron ng buong Simbahang Katolika.
