MORE BLESSED
Jesus said to his disciples: “Gird your loins and light your lamps and be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival. Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself, have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them. And should he come in the second or third watch and find them prepared in this way, blessed are those servants.”

There are those of us who think that others are MORE BLESSED than we are, and we complain about why we are not as blessed as they are.
Perhaps we need to improve our attitude. Are we really open to God’s blessings? Can we recognize God’s blessings when they come? Or do we determine for ourselves whether or not we have been blessed?
There are also times when opportunities are presented to us that could bring us blessings if we took advantage of them. But we always want to play it safe—it is better not to do anything than to risk something. We forget that without taking the first step, we will not get anywhere.
Lord Jesus, teach us to always be alert and open to receiving God’s blessings. Amen.
