Kinilala ng Military Ordinariate of the Philippines ang Caritas Manila Youth Servant Leader and Education Program o YSLEP TELETHON 2025.
Ayon kay M-O-P Bishop Oscar Jaime Florencio, ang katulad na programa ay mabisa at epektibong hakbang upang itaas ang antas ng pamumuhay ng mga mahihirap na kabataan.
Kaisa ng social arm ng Archdiocse of Manila ang M-O-P sa paggamit ng edukasyon upang labanan ang laganap na kahirapan.
Nanawagan din si Bishop Florencio sa mamamayan na suportahan ang mga YSLEP scholar ng Caritas Manila.
“The Military Ordinariate is one with the Caritas Manila for the Yslep Telethon, Let us support charity activities for our indigent young people so that they can receive the needed education and nourishment of their whole bodies,” ayon sa mensaheng ipinadala ni Bishop Florencio sa Radyo Veritas.
Sinabi ng Obispo na isinasabuhay ng programa ang adbokasiya ng simbahan na pagbibigay oportunidad sa mga mahihirap na makapagtapos ng karera sa kolehiyo at mai-ahon sa kahirapan ang sarili at pamilya.
“For this will bring not only a new and progressive Philippines but this will also mirror the quality of lives we are developing and envisioning with. Let us support all these endeavors for them. God bless our efforts,” pahayag ni Bishop Florencio sa Radyo Veritas.
Tema ng YSLEP Telethon 2025 ang ‘Hope In Action: Journeying Together for the Youth’.
Gagamitin ang nalikom na pondo sa telethon sa gastusin sa pag-aaral ng humigit kumulang na 5-libongscholar mula sa Archdiocese of Manila at 53-diyosesis sa bansa.
