I would like to express my profound gratitude to JCL Senate Philippines and ANSA Foundation for recognizing our work in the NGO and cooperative sectors for almost 30 years.
We believe in helping the poor help themselves. As a principle, we don’t adhere to dole outs. The poor are not lazy; they just lack the opportunity to discover their God-given potentials for self-determination and self-respect.
In behalf of the thousands of volunteers, management team, donors and partners in Caritas Social Services and Development Ministry (SSDM) pastoral development, social enterprises and cooperative movement in the country, I humbly share this TOFIL Award 2016 with all of them.
