Ipinarating ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerant People (CBCP-ECMI) ang pakikiisa at pakikiramay sa mga naiwang pamilya ng Pilipinong binitay sa Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Ito ay sa naging pananalangin ni CBCP-ECMI Vice-Chairman Antipolo Bishop Ruperto Santos para sa kapayapaan ng kaluluwa ng Pilipinong nahatulan.
“Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the soul of our Filipino brother who has been executed in Saudi Arabia. We entrust him to Your infinite mercy and love. May he find peace and rest in Your eternal embrace, Lord, we also pray for his family, who are left to bear the weight of this profound loss. Grant them strength and comfort in this time of grief. Surround them with Your love and the support of their community. May they find solace in Your presence and the hope of Your promises,” ayon sa panalangin na ipinadala ni Bishop Santos sa Radio Veritas.
Panalangin ng Obispo ang kahinahunan sa puso ng mga naiwang pamilya o mahal sa buhay ng binitay na Pilipino.
Panawagan ni Bishop Santos ang paggalang sa desisyon ng pamilya na manatiling pribado ang kanilang buhay kung saan maaring maipakita sa ibat-ibang pamamaraan ang pakikiisa sa kanila.
Ilan sa mga ito ay ang pag-aalay ng mga misa at pananalangin para sa binitay na Pilipino upang matulungan ang pamilya na mapatibay ang kanilang loob sa kabila ng pagsubok.
“We are deeply saddened by the recent execution of our fellow Filipino in Saudi Arabia. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time. We ask for compassion and understanding as they navigate their grief. We urge everyone to come together in support and solidarity for the family, showing them the strength of our community during these trying times,” ayon pa sa mensaheng ipinadala ni Bishop Santos sa Radio Veritas.
Martes, October 08 nang kumpirmahin ng Department of Foreign Affairs ang pagbitay sa Pilipinong indibidwal sa Saudi Arabia matapos makasuhan ng murder.
Sa pinakahuling datos ng DFA noong March 2023, hindi bababa sa 80-Pilipino sa ibayong dagat ang nasa death row at pinangangambahan mabitay dahil sa ibat-ibang kaso.
