Nanawagan ang Catholic Educational Association of The Philippines (CEAP) sa pamahalaan na dahan-dahan ipatupad ang Limited Face-to-Face classes.
Ito ang mungkahi ni Jose Allan Arellano, executive director ng CEAP, kaisa ang Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations of the Philippines (COCOPEA).
Ang pahayag ay kasunod ng pagsang-ayon ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) sa mungkahi ng Commission on Higher Education na pairalin ang 100% classroom seating capacity sa kolehiyo ng mga pamantasan at unibersidad na nasa Alert Level 1 areas para sa mga fully vaccinated na mag-aaral, guro at kawani ng paaralan.
Sa halip ayon sa CEAP at COCOPEA, dapat suriin muna ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) at iayon ang panuntunan sa kahandaan ng mga paaralan katulad ng dahan-dahang pakikiisa ng mga kasaping paaralan ng CEAP sa face-to-face classes.
“We have been notified by the CHED on this. We are one with COCOPEA in some of our requests from the government: It should still be optional and according to the readiness of the school if they will allow more F2F classes. Some of our schools have been doing limited face to face for the medical and allied fields. We are gradually opening our schools to more students,” ayon sa ipinadalang mensahe ni Arellano sa Radio Veritas.
Sinabi pa ni Arellano, mula sa mahigit 1,600 mga kasaping paaralan ng CEAP, mahigit isang-libo ang mga nasa Alert Level 1 Areas at minorya pa lamang mula sa bilang ang naging bahagi na ng limited face-to-face classes.
“We have been preparing our schools using the safeguards given by the IATF. We are in constant communication with the CHED and DepEd on this. We are being consulted naman. The real problem is the DepEd Regional offices who implement policies that are sometimes arbitrary and not the same with the central office,” ayon pa kay Arellano.
Hinihikayat rin ng CEAP ang mga magulang at legal guardians na makiisa at pabakunahan ang mga mag-aaral upang matagumpay na maidaos at maiwasan ang banta ng COVID-19 sa panunumbalik ng face to face classes.
