Magsasagawa ng advocacy conference ang University of Santo Tomas-Institute of Religion (UST-IR) sa pamamagitan ng Committee on Religious and Academic Formation of Thomasians (CRAFT) bilang pagdiriwang sa 2024 United Nations International Day of Peace at pagtugon sa ensiklikal na Laudato Si’ ng Kanyang Kabanalan Francisco.
Tema ng gawain ang “Together We Dream, Hope, and Act: Educating Toward Dialogue with Creation and Peace Building, na gaganapin sa September 20, 2024 mula alas-8 ng umaga hanggang alas-5 ng hapon sa George Ty Function Hall ng Buanaventura Garcia Paredes, OP Building, UST, España, Manila.
Layunin ng pagtitipon na tugunan ang agarang pangangailangang maisulong ang kapayapaan sa pamamagitan ng malawakan at pangkalahatang pamamaraan kaugnay sa mga umiiral na pagkakahati-hati at alitan sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo.
“It seeks to encourage active participation and collaboration of the various sectors of society in building a culture of peace through education,” ayon sa UST-IR.
Kabilang sa mga tagapagsalita at magbabahagi ng mga kaalaman at karanasan sina Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on Social Action, Justice, and Peace vice chairman, San Carlos Bishop Gerardo Alminaza; Silsilah Movement founder, Fr. Sebastiano D’Ambra, PIME; at Religions for Peace Philippines president at UST Office of International Relations and Programs director, Prof. Dean Emeritus Lillian Sison, Ph.D.
Maliban sa mga tagapagsalita, dadalo sa pagtitipon ang Senior Religious Leaders mula sa Interfaith Community.
Katuwang naman ng UST-IR-CRAFT sa gawain ang Center for Theology, Religious Studies and Ethics, UST-Simbahayan, Silsilah Movement, Uniharmony, at Dialogue with Creation Partners.
