Nakatakdang magpadala ng mga missionary priests ang Archdiocese of Caceres sa Archdiocese of Castries sa Caribbean at Diocese of Green Bay sa Estados Unidos.
Ayon kay Caceres Archbishop Rolando Tria Tirona, ito ay bahagi na rin ng pakikiisa ng arkidiyosesis sa hangarin ng Simbahang Katolika sa bansa na makapagpadala ng 500 lay, priests at religious missionaries sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo kasabay ng paggunita sa ika-500 taon ng Kristiyanismo sa Pilipinas.
“It is the dream of the Philippine Church to send 500 lay, priests and religious missionaries to the different parts of the world this 500th Year of Christianity in the Philippines.” pahayag ni Archbishop Tirona sa Radio Veritas.
Ipinaliwanag ng Arsobispo na mula taong 1997 ay aktibo na ang Archdiocese of Caceres sa pagpagpapadala ng mga missionary priests hindi lamang sa iba’t ibang diyosesis sa Pilipinas kundi maging sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo sa ilalim ng Caceres Mission Aid Program na naghuhubog at naghihikayat sa mga pari na ibahagi ang kanilang serbisyo at misyon sa labas ng arkidiyosesis.
Naniniwala rin si Archbishop Tirona na isa rin itong patotoo sa napakalawak na narating at naabot ng pagdating ng pananampalatayang Kristiyano sa Pilipinas.
“Since 1997, the Archdiocese has sent priests to the different dioceses of the Philippines and other parts of the world. Under the Caceres Mission Aid Program, the archdiocese encourages, recruits, and trains diocesan priests for the mission works outside the archdiocese. It is our expression of our willingness to share the Gift of Faith received 500 years ago through the efforts of the early missionaries from Europe.” Dagdag pa ni Archbishop Tirona.
Sinabi ni Archbishop Tirona na naaangkop ang nakatakdang pagmimisyon ng apat na pari ng arkidiyosesis na sina Fr. Albert Balderas, Fr. Rommel Dacoc, Fr. Ramel Pajenago, at Fr. Fermin Valiente sa tema ng 500-years of Christianity in the Philippines na “Gifted to Give” kung saan ganap na maipapamalas at maibabahagi ng mga Filipinong Pari sa ibayong dagat ang biyaya ng pananampalataya na tinataglay at isinasabuhay ng mga Filipino.
Binigyang diin naman ng Arsobispo na hindi lamang natatapos ang pagmimisyon ng mga pari sa pagbabahagi ng Ebanghelyo sa iba’t ibang lugar kundi napakabuluhan rin ang mga karanasan at mga natutunan.
“The Archdiocese is now a missionary church. We send as our expression of our participation in the mission cooperation program of the universal Church. While we help other churches or dioceses, our priests are also nourished by their experiences. The program has been an effective instrument in the ongoing formation of our priests. We help strengthen the faith of people. But, the people of the host dioceses of our missionaries also help us in strengthening our faith in Jesus.” Ayon pa kay Archbishop Tirona.
Pinangunahan ni Archbishop Tirona ang isinagawang Send-off Rite sa Naga Metropolitan Cathedral para kina Fr. Albert Balderas at Fr. Rommel Dacoco na pawang itinalaga upang magmisyon sa Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin, U.S.A. habang nakatakda naman sa ika-17 ng Hulyo ang Send-off Rite para kina Fr. Ramel Pajenago, at Fr. Fermin Valiente na itinalaga sa Archdiocese of Castries, Saint Lucia sa Caribbean.
