Kasalukuyang pinalalawak ng simbahan ng Quiapo District ang Lakad-Dasal isang Quiapo Pilgrimage Corridor sa pagitan ng Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene at San Sebastian Basilica kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng kapistahan ng Traslacion ng Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno.
Layunin nitong himukin ang iba’t ibang sektor at pamayanan na itampok ang rutang dinaraanan tuwing Traslacion sa pagitan ng Quiapo Church at San Sebastian Basilica kung saan matatagpuan ang mayamang kultura, kasaysayan at pananampalataya
“This initiative hopes to bring together more property owners, administrators, custodians, and heritage conservation advocates and specialists to highlights section of the famous routes where the festival reaches its height as the image of the Black Nazarene meets another beloved Quiapo image, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel de San Sebastian,” bahagi ng pahayag ng San Sebastian Basilica Conservation and Development Foundation, Inc.
Partikular na tinukoy na corridor ang mga kalye ng San Sebastian, F. R. Hidalgo at A. Bautista kung saan bukod sa dinadaan ng tradisyunal na Traslacion may religious significance din ito sa pagdiriwang sapagkat matatagpuan sa mga nabanggit na lugar ang Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Face of Jesus na itinatag ni Quiapense Mother Mary Therese Vicente; Brothers Hospitaller of St. John of God kung saan kasapi ang tanyag na si Hermano Pule; at ang Augustinian Recollect Sisters na itinatag ni Cecilia at Dionisia Talangpaz na kapwa ‘candidates for beatification.’
“Dotted among these sites are bahay na bato at kahoy that house todays’ Quiapenses who made their home in this historic neighborhood. Some continue to withstand the test of time, while others live on through the legacy of the families that first built these mansions,” dagdag pa ng grupo.
