Kinundena ng Clergy for Good Governance ang desisyon ng Supreme Court na ideklarang unconstitutional ang impeachment trial kay Vice-president Sara Duterte.
Ayon kay Running Priest Father Robert Reyes ng Clergy for Good Governance, malinaw na pagpapakita ito ng kawalan ng katarungan sa Pilipinas dahil sinusuportahan nito ang opisyal na dapat linawin ang kaniyang sarili.
Iginiit ng Pari na walang sinuman ang dapat nakakalamang sa batas tulad ng pagsasawalang bahala ng Supreme Court sa kapangyarihan ng Senado na magsagawa ng impeachment trial.
“We, members of the clergy, condemn in the strongest possible terms the Supreme Court’s reported decision declaring the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte as constitutionally infirm — even before the Senate could fulfill its duty to try the case, this is not justice, it is a grave betrayal of the Constitution and the democratic process. By preempting the Senate’s constitutional role, the Court has undermined the doctrine of separation of powers, crippled the mechanisms of accountability, and damaged the moral fabric of our institutions,” ayon sa ipinadalang menshae ni Fr.Reyes sa Radyo Veritas.
Panghihimok ng Pari at ng Clergy for Good Governance sa mga Pilipino ang pananalangin para sa pamamayani ng katotohanan at pag-usad ng impeachment trial.

Hinimok din ni Fr.Reyes ang mamamayang Pilipino na maging mapagmatyag sa susunod na hakbang ng pamahalaan sa usaping kinasasangkutan ng Bise-Presidente ng Pilipinas na iniligtas naman ng mga Supreme Court justice na appointee ng amang dating pangulo.
