The 2018 Katolikong Pinoy Formation Series is a year-long activity at the Lay Formation Center (LAYFORCE) program of the Archdiocese of Manila with the general theme, “Servanthood: Love fully alive. A life fully loving!” The talks are held at the Lay Formation Center, San Carlos Pastoral Formation Complex, EDSA Guadalupe, Makati City. Admission is free.
Public affairs programs “Magkabiyak sa Batas”, “Buhay Kooperatiba”, and “Veritasan” will give way for the special broadcast of this month’s Katolikong Pinoy Formation from 9 am to 12 nn.
Meanwhile, the religious talk show “Kristo, Liwanag sa Dilim” will also be preempted for the Holy Mass to be presided by Cardinal Tagle in Sto. Nino Parish, Pandacan, Manila.
Believed to be more than 400 years old, the image of the Sto. Niño of Pandacan is carved out of dark wood. This wood is strikingly similar to the dark Mexican wood of the images of the Black Nazarene of Quiapo and the Black Madonna of Antipolo suggesting that like the latter two images, the Sto. Niño de Pandacan was brought to the Philippines by the Spaniards via galleon trade from Acapulco, Mexico to Manila, Philippines.
Apart from the radio broadcast in the AM band, the Katolikong Pinoy Formation Series and the mass at from Pandacan Church may also be watched via live streaming at www.veritas846.ph, Cignal cable TV channel 313, and on Eradio portal (by clicking click Luzon AM and selecting Radyo Veritas 846), as well as on TV Maria on Dream Channel 1, Sky Cable Channel 210, Global Destiny Channel 96,.
Radio Veritas 846 is owned and operated by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila. Established in 1969, the Ramon Magsaysay recipient Catholic radio station continues to be a leading social communications ministry for truth and new evangelization in the country today.
