Hinamon ng opisyal ng Vatican ang mga religious superiors at consecrated persons na talikuran ang mga bagay at gawaing naglalayo sa tao sa Diyos.
Ayon kay Sr. Simona Brambilla, MC, Prefect ng Vatican’s Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, ito ang magiging tugon sa mga digmaang hindi lamang umiiral sa mundo kundi maging sa mga pamilya, komunidad at puso ng tao.
“And we may decide, with our freedom, supported and enlightened by Grace, to fast from everything that is not peace, that is not love, that does not come from God, and instead to nourish and be nourished by everything that is love, that is God and that is peace,” ayon kay Sr. Brambilla.
Sa kaniyang video keynote message para sa ikalawang national convention ng Conference of Major Superiors in the Philippines (CMSP), binigyang-diin ni Brambilla na ang mga consecrated persons ay tinatawag na manindigan para sa kapayapaan sa gitna ng mundong sugatan ng mga lantad at nakatagong tunggalian.
“I believe, therefore, that these two figures are a source of immense inspiration, indeed of profound nourishment, for us today, who, as consecrated men and women, are called to dwell in a wounded world, a world so often torn apart by wars of every kind: the great, visible wars, but also the less visible wars, those which are found in our relationships, in our communities, in our families and in our hearts,” aniya.
Ayon kay Sr. Brambilla, malaking hamon sa mga relihiyoso na kilalanin ang mga digmaang ito at makilakbay habang bitbit ang kapayapaang hindi gumagamit ng dahas.
“To recognize these wars and to enter into these places of conflict with the ointment of peace, a peace which the Holy Father never tires, never tires, of calling ‘disarmed and disarming.’”
Ipinaalala rin ng opisyal ang halimbawa nina Simeon at Anna bilang mga propetang hindi umaasa sa ingay o kapangyarihan sa pagpapatotoo.
“They are two prophets who do not cry out; they are humble, silent, meek, disarmed and disarming prophets.”
Sa mensahe ng opisyal, binigyang-diin ang malinaw na panawagang maging saksi ng kapayapaan sa pamamagitan ng pagtalikod sa anumang nagpapalalim ng hidwaan at patuloy na isulong ang pag-ibig ng Diyos.
Nagbuklod sa pagtitipon sa Zamboanga City ang 233 religious superiors mula sa 159 kongregasyon sa bansa mula September 1 hanggang 5, kung saan pinagnilayan ang temang “Consecrated Persons: Prophetic Witnesses of Peace in a Wounded World.”
