“Let us unite in prayer for our brothers and sisters affected by the landslide at the Prime Waste Solutions Cebu Landfill in Barangay Binaliw, Cebu City. We remember especially the victims and their families—those who are grieving, those who are injured, and those who remain unaccounted for. May the Lord embrace them with comfort, strength, and protection.”
“We also lift up in prayer the brave responders and rescuers who are working tirelessly on the ground, risking their own safety to save lives. May God grant them endurance, wisdom, and protection as they carry out their mission of mercy,” Dagdag pa ni Archbishop Uy.
“Let us likewise pray for Mayor Nestor and the officials of the Cebu City Government as they assess the damage and lead the response. May the Holy Spirit guide their decisions, grant them clarity of mind, and inspire swift and compassionate action for the welfare of all. In moments like this, may our faith move us to solidarity, compassion, and concrete support for our affected communities.”
