Iminungkahi ng CEAP o Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines sa pamahalaan ang Public – Private Partnership sa education system sa bansa.
Ayon kay CEAP Vice – President Rev. Fr. Joel Tabora, dapat patas ang pondong ilalaan ng pamahalaan sa pribado at pampublikong paaralan.
“Many of our leaders in the country whether they be in government or in the private sector come also from the private schools. We are not saying exclusively but also from the public schools. Therefore, government or tax money should be allocated equitably between the public and private schools. Government money certainly should not be use in such a way that it kills the private schools,” pahayag ni Fr. Tabora sa panayam ng Veritas Patrol.
Pinangangambahan ni Father Tabora ang malaking epekto sa private schools ng plano ng kasalukuyan administrasyon na tataasan hanggang P35 libong piso ang sahod ng mga public school teachers.
Iginiit pa ni Fr. Tabora na hindi inaalala ng kasalukuyang administrasyon ang epektong maidudulot nito sa kanilang sektor lalo na sa kawalan ng mga guro.
“For instance in one sidedly, government says teachers salary should go up to P35 thousand at one time without consideration of the effect this measure on the teachers of private schools. I think it would be a failure in the complementarity between private and public schools. Because the measure then would tend to pull the teachers away from the private schools and pulled them into the public system,” giit pa ni Fr. Tabora sa Radyo Veritas.
Sa ngayon wala pang konkretong estatiska ang CEAP na nagpapakita ng kabuuang bilang ng mga guro na lumipat sa pampublikong paaralan.
Nabanggit naman ni CEAP legal adviser Atty. Joseph Ejercito na P153 bilyong piso ang nawala sa koleksyon ng tuition fees ng nasa mahigit isang libong Catholic schools mula ng ipatupad ang K to 12 program sa bansa.
