The Catholic faithful are invited to join the Veritas Lenten Pilgrimage to the Churches in Pampanga and Bulacan on March 11, 2017 Saturday.
Veritas Lenten Pilgrimage will visit the San Agustin Church in Lubao, Pampanga, St. James Church in Betis, Pampanga; San Guillermo Church in Bacolor, Pampanga; Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish (Barasoain Church) in Malolos, Bulacan; Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception (Malolos Cathedral) and; National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Marilao, Bulacan.
Radio Veritas President Rev. Fr. Anton C.T. Pascual invites all the public to join the pilgrimage.
“My dear brothers and sisters, join us in the Veritas Lenten Pilgrimage to the Churches in Pampanga and Bulacan. Let us give time to pray, reflect and renew our relationship with God as we prepare for the Lenten season,” said Radio Veritas president Fr. Anton Pascual.
Veritas Lenten Pilgrimage is part of Radio Veritas initiatives for the observance of Lenten season to give the faithful an opportunity to gain blessings from God and to have a spiritual experience to repent for their sins as preparation for a more meaningful Lenten observation this year.
Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. It represents Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days. Lent is marked by fasting and repentance as preparation for the coming of Easter.
Deadline of registration is on March 4, 2017 at the Radio Veritas studios at 162 West Avenue cor EDSA, Quezon City. A pilgrimage donation of Php 2,200 will be applied to all the participants and a discounted donation of Php 2, 000.00 for full pledged Kapanalig members. The pilgrimage donation is inclusive of transportation, lunch and snack as well as love offering to the chaplain and a certificate of participation.
