Sa pagtatapos ng ‘Year of the Clergy, Religious and Consecrated Persons, ginaganap sa kasalukuyang ang Dipolog-Ozamis-Pagadian-Iligan-Marawi (DOPIM) Clergy Convention.
Ang pagtitipon ay ginanap simula ika-5 hanggang ika-8 ng Nobyembre sa Madele Hotel sa Pagadian City kung saan tinatayang may 200 Pari at mga Obispo ng kasaping Diyosesis ang dumalo.
Ayon kay Archbishop Martin Jumoad ito ay bahagi ng pag-uugnayan ng mga Pari at magsilbing paalala sa bawat isa bilang mga lingkod ni Kristo.
“To have a closer relationship with the Clergy among the sub-region and in order to realize that we are called to imitate the Good Shepherd our Lord Jesus Christ in the context of service to our people,” ayon kay Archbishop Jumoad sa panayam ng Radio Veritas.
Year of the Youth
Ngayong buwan ay inaasahan ang pagsisimula ng pagdiriwang ng Simbahang Katolika ng “Year of the Youth’ na bahagi ng paghahanda ng simbahan ng Pilipinas sa ika-500 ng Kristiyanismo sa bansa.
“This is a response also to the call of Pope Francis in Gaudete et exsultate (APOSTOLIC EXHORTATION GAUDETE ET EXSULTATE OF THE HOLY FATHER FRANCIS ON THE CALL TO HOLINESS IN TODAY’S WORLD) to really become Holy and wherever we go we have to witness a life transmitting also witnessing the life of Jesus. So, that is the call of the moment, so that as we open the Year of the Youth, then the Clergy and Consecrated person are really full of life and they would assist the young in order to walk in the path of righteousness and vice versa,” ayon kay Archbishop Jumoad.
Una na ring inihayag ni Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle na naging panawagan sa katatapos lamang na SYNOD of Bishops on Youth sa Vatican ang pakikilakbay kasama ang kabataan kaakibat ang pakikinig at pagkilos tungo sa layunin ng ating pananampalataya.
