Ang Mabuting Balita, 20 Nobyembre 2023 – Lucas 18: 35-43
HUMINGI NG TULONG
Malapit na si Jesus sa Jerico, at doo’y may isang lalaking bulag na nakaupo sa tabi ng daan at nagpapalimos. Nang marinig nitong nagdaraan ang maraming tao, itinanong niya kung ano ang nangyayari. “Nagdaraan si Jesus na taga Nazaret,” sabi nila. At siya’y sumigaw, “Jesus, Anak ni David! Mahabag po kayo sa akin!” Sinaway siya ng mga nasa unahan, ngunit lalo pa niyang nilakasan ang sigaw: “Anak ni David, mahabag po kayo sa akin!” Kaya’t tumigil si Jesus, at iniutos na dalhin sa kanya ang bulag. Inilapit nga ito at tinanong ni Jesus, “Ano ang ibig mong gawin ko sa iyo?” “Panginoon, ibig ko po sana’y manumbalik ang aking paningin,” sagot niya. At sinabi ni Jesus, “Mangyari ang ibig mo! Pinagaling ka dahil sa iyong pananalig.” Noon din, nakakita siya at sumunod kay Jesus, at nagpasalamat sa Diyos. Nang makita ito ng mga tao, silang lahat ay nagpuri sa Diyos.

Kung ilalagay natin ang ating sarili sa lugar ng lalaking bulag na nakarinig ng kakayahang magpagaling ni Jesus, at ngayo’y nagdaraan, tiyak na gagawin din natin ang ginawa niya. Walang makapagsaway sa kanyang pagsigaw. Ito ang pagkakataong makakita na siya at maaaring hindi na ito maulit. Hindi lamang napakalaki ng pananalig niya kay Jesus; alam din niyang makiusap kay Jesus: “mahabag po kayo sa akin.” At ang laging maawaing Jesus, narinig siya sa gitna ng maraming tao, huminto at iniutos sa kanila na dalhin sa kanya ang bulag. Hindi rin niyang palalagpasin ang pagkakataong mapagaling ang isang taong puno ng pananalig. Siyempre, alam ni Jesus na ang lalaki ay bulag, ngunit tinanong pa rin niya kung ano ang ibig niyang gawin para sa kanya. Katulad ng mga ibang pagkakataong magpagaling, sinabi sa kanya ni Jesus: “Pinagaling ka dahil sa iyong pananalig.”
Mayroong mga sa atin ang nagdaranas ng espirituwal na pagkabulag – kapag hindi natin makita o madama ang pag-ibig ng Diyos sapagkat tayo ay nagdaraan sa matinding pagsubok; o dahil hinayaan nating mapuno tayo ng poot o galit; o dahil hinayaan natin ang ating sarili na malugmok sa kasalanan. Sapagkat ang biyaya ng Diyos ay naglipana, sa mga pagkakataong ganito, maaari pa rin tayong makakita ng kaunting sinag (marahil mga salita ng isang nagmamahal o kaibigan). Kailangan natin maging maagap sa pagkakataong ito habang tayo ay nasa mundo pa. Hindi kailangang manatili tayong may kapansanan. Hindi natin kailangang manatiling bulag habang buhay. Ang tanging kailangan nating gawin ay ang HUMINGI NG TULONG, at tiyak na maririnig tayo ni Jesus at kahahabagan niya tayo.
“Ibibigay ko ang mga bansa para lang maligtas ka, sapagkat mahalaga ka sa akin; mahal kita, kaya’t pararangalan kita.” (Isaias 43: 4)
Tingnan din natin kung paano ang pagtrato ng mga kasama ni Jesus sa bulag. Sila, na dapat makaisip na dalhin ang bulag kay Jesus, ang nagpapatahimik sa kanya. Nakakahiya siguro noong iniutos sa kanila ni Jesus na dalhin sa kanya ang bulag. Kung tayo ay tunay na Kristiyano, kailangang mulat tayo sa ating papel na pagtulong sa ating kapwa na makakita ng liwanag.
