Ang Mabuting Balita, 8 Nobyembre 2023 – Lucas 14: 25-33
KINAKAILANGAN
Noong panahong iyon, sumama kay Jesus ang napakaraming tao; humarap siya sa kanila at kanyang sinabi, “Hindi maaaring maging alagad ko ang sinumang umiibig sa kanyang ama at ina, asawa at mga anak, mga kapatid, at maging sa sarili niyang buhay nang higit sa akin. Ang sinumang hindi magpasan ng sariling krus at sumunod sa akin ay hindi maaaring maging alagad ko. Kung ang isa sa inyo’y nagbabalak magtayo ng tore, hindi ba uupo muna siya at tatayahin ang magugugol para malaman kung, may sapat siyang salaping maipagpapatapos niyon? Baka mailagay ang mga pundasyon ngunit hindi naman maipatapos – siya’y kukutyain ng lahat ng makakakita nito. Sasabihin nila: ‘Nagsimulang magtayo ang taong ito pero hindi naipatapos.’ O sinong hari na makikipagdigma sa kapwa hari ang hindi muna uupo at pag-aaralang mabuti kung ang sampunlibo niyang kawal ay maisasagupa sa kalaban na may dalawampunlibong tauhan? At kung hindi niya kaya, malayo pa ang kalaban ay magsusugo na siya ng mga kinatawan upang makipagkasundo. Gayun din naman, hindi maaaring maging alagad ko ang sinuman, kung hindi niya tatalikdan ang lahat sa kanyang buhay.”

Siyempre, hindi tayo inuudyukan ni Jesus na kamuhian ang ating mga magulang, miyembro ng pamilya, at pati ang sarili nating buhay. Sinasabi lang niya sa atin ang KINAKAILANGAN para maging isang Kristiyano. Kailangang handa tayong isuko o labanan ang mga taong minamahal natin, pati na rin ang mga bagay na gustong gusto natin makamit sa buhay, kung nais natin maging matapat na tagasunod ni Jesus. Para sa mga Katoliko, ang mga magulang ang nagpapasya para sa anak. Ngunit sa Kumpil, ang anak ang nagpapasya para sa kanyang sarili na maging tagasunod ni Kristo. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit napakahalaga ang paghubog ng mga magulang sa kanilang mga anak ayon sa Pananampalataya mula sa Binyag, at ipaintindi sa kanila na ang pagiging Kristiyano ay ISANG PASYA na maging matapat na tagasunod ni Kristo.
NAPAKALAKI ng gantimpala kung tayo ay magiging matapat na tagasunod ni Kristo hindi lamang sa kabilang buhay kundi pati sa buhay natin ngayon, kaya’t napakaraming mga santo at santa ang nag-iwan ng lahat ng mayroon sila makasunod lamang kay Kristo.
Panginoong Jesus, magkaroon nawa kami ng lakas ng loob na laging itaguyod ang iyong mga turo saan man kami naroroon at sinuman ang aming mga kasama!
