Ang Mabuting Balita, 17 Oktubre 2023 – Lucas 11: 37-41

LUBOS NA AKSAYA NG PANAHON

Noong panahong iyon, pagkatapos magsalita ni Jesus, siya’y inanyayahan ng isang Pariseo upang kumain, kaya’t pumunta siya sa bahay nito. Pagdulog sa hapag, nagtaka ang Pariseo nang makita niyang kumain si Jesus nang hindi muna naghugas ng kamay. Sinabi sa kanya ng Panginoon, “Kayong mga Pariseo, hinuhugasan ninyo ang labas ng tasa at ng pinggan, ngunit ang loob ninyo’y punong-puno ng kasakiman at kasamaan. Mga hangal! Hindi ba’t ang may likha ng labas ang siya ring may likha ng loob? Ngunit ipamahagi muna ninyo sa mga dukha ang mga laman ng mga sisidlan at magiging malinis ang lahat ng bagay para sa inyo.”

Bakit kaya inanyayahan ng Pariseo si Jesus na kumain sa bahay niya pagkatapos magsalita si Jesus ng ganito: “Ang iyong mata ang ilaw ng iyong katawan. Kung malinaw ang iyong mata, mapupuno ng liwanag ang buo mong katawan. Ngunit kung malabo ang iyong mata, ang buo mong katawan ay mapupuno ng kadiliman. Kaya’t mag-ingat ka, baka ang liwanag na inaakala mong nasa iyo ay kadiliman pala. Kung nasa liwanag ang buo mong katawan at walang bahaging nasa dilim, magliliwanag itong parang isang ilawan na tumatanglaw sa iyo (Lucas 11: 34-36).” May tinamaan kaya si Jesus kaya’t ninais ng Pariseo na makahanap ng kamalian kay Jesus? Oo, nakahanap ng mali ang Pariseo noong hindi naghugas ng kamay si Jesus bago kumain, ngunit ginamit ito ni Jesus upang ituro sa kanila ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng malinis na kalooban. Upang ang isang lampara ay makapagbigay ng sapat na liwanag, kailangang lubos ang liwanag. Kung kalahati lang ang liwanag, magiging mas higit ang kadiliman. Paano tayo magiging liwanag sa iba kung iba tayo sa labas at iba rin sa loob? Hindi tayo makapagbibigay ng sapat na liwanag, kundi kalahating liwanag lamang.

Kung iisipin natin, ano ang saysay ng pagkukunwari na malinis tayo sa labas kung hindi tayo malinis sa loob? Anong mapapala natin dito? Nakakapagod ang magkunwari palagi sapagkat hindi natin kayang lokohin ang sarili natin, lalo na ang Diyos. Ito ay isang LUBOS NA AKSAYA NG PANAHON. Bakit hindi na lang tayo maging tunay na mabubuting tao? Ito ay magpapasaya at magbibigay ng kapayapaan sa atin.

Hinihiling namin Panginoon, tulungan mo kami maging mga Kristiyano sa salita at sa gawa!
