Gospel Reading for March 02, 2026 – Luke 6: 36-38
NEVER VINDICTIVE
Jesus said to his disciples: “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.”

“Like Father, like child.” This is how Jesus calls us to live—reflecting the heart of God our Father, who is rich in mercy. He is NEVER VINDICTIVE when we sin against him. As Jesus beautifully portrays in the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32), our Father is always waiting for us to return, ready to restore the dignity we lose when we stray from him.
Indeed, we reap what we sow. If we sow goodness, we shall reap goodness; if we sow evil, we shall reap its bitter fruit.
Lord Jesus, remind us always that you alone are our true Judge. Teach us to trust in your mercy and to mirror the compassion of our Father in all that we do!
