Ang Mabuting Balita, 3 Nobyembre 2023 – Lucas 14: 1-6
PAG-IBIG AT AWA
Isang Araw ng Pamamahinga, si Jesus ay inanyayahang kumain sa bahay ng isang pinuno ng mga Pariseo; at binabantayan nilang mabuti ang kanyang mga kilos. Lumapit kay Jesus ang isang taong namamanas. Kaya’t tinanong niya ang mga Pariseo at ang mga dalubhasa sa Kautusan, “Naaayon ba sa Kautusan ang magpagaling sa Araw ng Pamamahinga o hindi?” Ngunit hindi sila umimik, kaya hinawakan ni Jesus ang maysakit, pinagaling saka pinayaon. Pagkatapos, sinabi niya sa kanila, “Kung kayo’y may anak o bakang mahulog sa balon, hindi ba ninyo iaahon kahit Araw ng Pamamahinga?” At hindi sila nakasagot sa tanong na ito.

Isa na namang kabanata ito sa pagpapagaling ng maysakit ni Jesus sa Araw ng Pamamahinga o “Sabbath” kung saan ang mga dalubhasa sa Kautusan at mga Pariseo ay nagbabantay ng kanyang ikikilos, sapagkat inaasahan nilang pagagalingin niya ang maysakit sa araw na ito, na para sa kanila ay ipinagbabawal sa Kautusan sapagkat ito ay trabaho. Oo nga, ito ay trabaho, ngunit ito ay trabahong gawa ng KAMAY NG DIYOS. Anumang gawin ng Diyos ay hindi maaaring maging paglabag sa Kautusan, sapagkat para sa Diyos, PAG-IBIG AT AWA para sa atin ang una sa lahat. Kaya’t sinabi ni Jesus sa Marcos 2: 27: “Itinakda ang Araw ng Pamamahinga para sa ikabubuti ng tao; hindi nilikha ang tao para sa Araw ng Pamamahinga.”
Panginoon, tulungan mo kaming laging unahin ang pag-ibig at pagmamahal kaysa ibang bagay!
