Bisperas ng halalan nang iulat ng Caritas Philippines ang natagpuang sample ballots na nakapaloob sa mga idineliver na balota na gagamitin sa araw ng halalan sa lalawigan ng Isabela.
Ayon kay Mother Mary Camille Marasigan ng Caritas Ilagan-agad nilang ipinaabot ang impormasyon kay Atty. Michael Camangeg-ang provincial head ng Commission on Elections.
Sa ulat, ang mga sample ballot ay nadiskubre ng mga volunteer ng NAMFREL at Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) ng Our Lady of Peace Parish sa Benito Soliven, Isabela.
“Yesterday, 3 NAMFREL and PPCRV Volunteers from Our Lady of Peace Parish, Benito Soliven in Isabela, witnessed the verification of ballots. While doing so, a box of sample ballots of UNITEAM was discovered to be included in the delivery of ballots from the COMELEC. Mother Mary Camille Marasigan of #TeamCaritasIlagan, with the provincial COMELEC head, Atty. Michael Camangeg was already informed of the matter. However, COMELEC Provincial Office is yet to provide feedback,” ayon sa facebook post ng Caritas Philippines.
Bukod sa pangalan nina presidential at vice-presidential candidates Bongbong Marcos at Sara Duterte; kasama rin sa listahan ang siyam na senatorial candidates ng UniTeam na sina Alan Peter Cayetano; JV Ejercito; Win Gatchalian; Harry Roque; Joel Villanueva; Gibo Teodoro; Mark Villar at Migz Zubiri.
Kasama din sa listahan si Rodante Marcoleta-na una ring nag-withdraw sa pagkasenador.
Matatagpuan din sa listahan si Dick Gordon na bahagi ng senatorial slate ni VP Leni Robredo at guest candidate na si Jojo Binay habang si Guillermo Eleazar naman ay mula sa senatorial slate ni Sen.Ping Lacson.
Kasama din sa listahan ng sample ballot si Ed Christopher Go bilang kongresista; Rodito Albano (governor); Bojie Dy (vice governor); Edgar Capuchino at Ed Christian Go (Sangguniang Panlalawigan); Robert Lungan (Mayor); JP Azur (Vice Mayor) at LPGMA sa partylist.
Ang Isabela ay matatagpuan sa Cagayan Valley, Northern Luzon na may higit sa 900-libong botante.
Isang concerned citizen mula sa Pampanga ang nagpadala ng naman litrato ng sample ballot na may nakaipit na P1,500 halaga.
