Umaasa ang media ministry ng Archdiocese of Cebu na kilalanin ng mga diyosesis sa bansa ang mga manggagawa sa larangan ng media na patuloy na isinasabuhay ang wastong pamamaraan ng pamamahayag.
Ito ang mensahe ni Cebu Archdiocesan Commission on Social Communications (CACoSCo) Chairperson Msgr. Agustin Ancajas sa matagumpay na kauna-unahang Cebu Metropolitan Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMCMMA) ng arkidiyosesis.
Naniniwala ang pari na malaki ang tungkulin ng media upang matulungan ang simbahan sa pagpapalaganap ng ebanghelisasyon lalo sa kasalukuyang panahon na patuloy ang pag-usbong ng makabagong teknolohiya.
“I hope for this to endeavor to become an example to other dioceses as they also respond to the communication pastoral theme: Create, Collab, Commune, in order to recognize meritorious work of media practitioners, promote the proper use of media in social communication, and advocate for honest and true journalism,” bahagi ng mensahe ni Msgr. Ancajas.

Dumalo sa pagtitipon sina Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma, San Pablo Bishop-designate Marcelino Antonio Maralit, Jr, ang kasalukuyang Chairperson ng CBCP Episcopal Commission on Social Communications at Fr. Ramonito P. Maata ang Chairperson ng Commission on Social Communication ng Diocese of Dumaguete.
Ang CM-CMMA ay isasagawa tuwing ikalawang taon para parangalan ang media practitioners na sakop ng Archdiocese of Cebu at suffragan dioceses: Dumaguete, Tagbilaran, Talibon, at Maasin.
Bukod sa gawaing pagpaparangal ng arkidiyosesis sa media practitioners ay nauna na ring nagbibigay parangal sa media ang Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA), Catholic Social Media Awards (CSMA), at ang Pasig Catholic Mass Media Awards (PCMMA).
