to you for others
of great plans,
of grand designs,
of noble intentions
but never brought to
fulfillment due to
many excuses.

Many times,
I feel like those would-be
disciples in the gospel today,
coming to you,
offering to follow you
wherever you go but
when the road becomes
rough and steep, I leave you;
teach me to be like
St. Therese of the Child Jesus
to be simple,
to do my very best
with the little,
ordinary things
I can do.
