Tatalima ang Diocese of Pasig sa panuntunan ng Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) sa paggunita ng Undas sa bansa.
Tinukoy ni Pasig Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara ang Resolution #72 ng I-A-T-F noong ika-17 ng Setyembre na nag-uutos ng pansamantalang pagsasara ng mga pampuliko at pribadong sementeryo maging mga kolombaryo mula ika-29 ng Oktubre hanggang ika-4 ng Nobyembre bilang pag-iingat sa pagkalat ng COVID-19.
“In the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility in this fight against COVID-19, we will cooperate and abide by the mandate of IATF.” bahagi ng Pastoral Instruction ni Bishop Vergara na may titulong ‘Nothing Can Separate Us From the Love of God’.
Ayon sa Obispo, kaisa ng pamahalaan ang Simbahan at ang buong Diyosesis ng Pasig sa paglaban sa Coronavirus Disease 2019 pandemic.
Sinabi ni Bishop Vergara na bilang bahagi ng social responsibility ay palalawigin pa ng diyosesis ang mahigpit na panuntunan sa pagbisita sa mga sementeryo at mga kolumbaryo hanggang sa ika-15 ng Nobyembre.
Mahigpit na ipapatupad ng Diocese of Pasig ang safety health protocols at 30-porsyento ng kapasidad ng mga lugar.
Personal namang magdaraos ng banal na misa at pagbabasbas si Bishop Vergara sa sampung mga Diocesan Cemeteries and Ossuaries mula ika-29 ng Oktubre hanggang ika-2 ng Nobyembre na maaring matunghayan sa pamamagitan ng Facebook page ng Roman Catholic Diocese of Pasig.
“Since all our Cemeteries and Ossuaries are closed from October 29 to November 4, I will take that opportunity to personally visit and celebrate Mass in all our Diocesan Cemeteries and Ossuaries to be offered for all the faithful departed interred there. No other persons will be allowed to enter the cemeteries and ossuaries that time except for the Pries-in-charge of our Memorial Department and the Parish Priest where the cemetery or ossuary is located who are both to concelebrate, the deacons who will be assisting me, and the Diocesan Media Team who will cover the Mass. The Mass will be live-streamed in our diocesan Facebook page (Roman Catholic Diocese of Pasig Facebook Page) so that the families and relatives of the departed interred in that particular cemetery and ossuary can join in the live streaming of Masses.” Dagdag pa ni Bishop Vergara.
Hinimok naman ng Obispo ang mga mananampalataya na magtungo sa mga Simbahan upang magsindi ng kandila, mag-alay ng misa at panalangin sa ikapapayapa ng mga kaluluwa ng mahal sa buhay.
Pinag-iingat din ng Obispo ang mga mananampalataya sa mga magpapanggap na Pari at lingkod ng Simbahan na nag-aalok ng fake religious services and rites para sa mga yumao.
