Nagpaabot ng pagbati ang Military Ordinariate of the Philippines sa bagong talagang chief of staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines na si Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro.
Nagpaabot rin ng panalangin si Military Bishop Oscar Jaime Florencio sa tuwinang paggabay ng Panginoon sa bagong hepe ng Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas.
Ipinagdarasal din ng Obispo na isaisip at isapuso ng bagong AFP chief of staff ang kapakanan at kabutihan ng bawat Pilipino sa pagganap sa tungkulin at tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng bansa.
“I would like to wish him good luck, I’d like to congratulate him but also my prayer goes to him, may the Lord keep you always with his wisdom, always in mind having the good of the people and the good of the country at the same time also my prayers for good health, also for him and his family and at the same time also that he will be able to be engross also with the proper discernment as to where he would want the Armed Forces of the Philippines to be led.” pahayag ni Bishop Florencio sa panayam sa Radio Veritas.
Bahagi rin ng panalangin ni Bishop Florencio ang paggabay ng Banal na Espiritu para sa lahat ng mga desisyon na kinakailangang gawin ng opisyal para sa buong Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas.
“Siguro we need Holy Spirit also for this, the guidance of the Holy Spirit because we know that this is not just all about our powers- mental powers, physical powers but we know also that there is also that power of God for us, power of God over us.” Dagdag pa ni Bishop Florencio.
Unang araw ng Agosto, 2022 ng itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. si Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro bilang ika-58 chief of staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Bago itinalaga bilang bagong hepe ng AFP si Bacarro ay nagsilbing commander ng AFP Southern Luzon Command (Solcom); naitalaga din si Bacarro bilang AFP spokesperson at chief of the public affairs office ng Camp Aguinaldo.
Taong 1991 naman ng ginawaran ng Medal of Valor si Bacarro dahil sa pambihirang katapangan at walang takot na pagsuong nito sa tawag ng tungkulin matapos ang engkwentro sa pagitan ng mga rebeldeng komunistang sa Isabela na tumagal ng 10-oras.
Ang Medal of Valor ay ang pinakamataas na medalya at pagkilala na iginagawad sa mga sundalo na nakapagpamalas ng kabayanihan sa tungkulin.
