Itinuturing na biyaya ng Simbahang Katolika sa Bicol region ang muling pagdiriwang sa nakagawiang Kapistahan ng Divino Rostro o Holy Face of Jesus at Nuestra Señora De Peñafrancia dalawang taon matapos ang COVID-19 pandemic sa bansa.
Ayon kay Daet Bishop Rex Andrew Alarcon, isa sa mga punong pastol ng walong ecclesiastical jurisdictions ng Bicol region, mahalaga para sa mga Bicolano at mga deboto na muling maipamalas ang kanilang masidhing debosyon sa Divino Rostro at sa Mahal na Ina tuwing buwan ng Setyembre.
Ang Nuestra Señora De Peñafrancia ang itinuturing na patron ng Bicol region kung saan nakalagak ang canonically crowned image ng Mahal na Ina sa National Shrine and Basilica Minore of Our Lady of Penafrancia sa Naga City.
“All over the world during this month Bicolanos and none Bicolanos devotees savor that special love for the Lady and for the Divino Rostro. In fact there are those of you who have come from afar despite the hassles of travel, many of you who are abroad are organizing fiesta for our Mahal na Ina and the Divino Rostro, we are grateful because once again we are able to gather and come in person although not everyone is able to do so, but we have come together to celebrate the festivities of our Mahal na Ina.” pagninilay ni Bishop Alarcon.
Sa pagtataya ng Arkidiyosesis ng Caceres, umaabot sa mahigit 500,000 mga deboto ang nakibahagi sa Traslacion Procession 2022 bilang bahagi ng unang araw ng nobenaryo para sa Kapistahan ng Nuestra Señora De Peñafrancia na naganap noong ika-9 ng Setyembre, 2022 kasabay ng ika-140 Kapistahan ng Divino Rostro o Holy Face of Jesus.
Tema ng 312th Solemnity of Our Lady of Peñafrancia ngayong taon ang “Mary accompanies us in our journey towards a Synodal church”.
Binigyang diin ni Bishop Alarcon ang mahalagang tungkuling ginagampanan ng bawat isa para sa pagkakaroon ng ‘synodal church’ na hinahangad ng Santo Papa Francisco para sa Simbahan.
Ipinaliwanag ng Obispo na mahalaga ang aktibong pagbabahagi ng bawat isa sa biyaya ng pananampalataya upang ganap na mabuksan ang kamalayan ng lahat sa pagiging katuwang ng Simbahan sa misyon nito na palaganapin ang Mabuting Balita ng Panginoon.
“Mahalaga ang bawat isa, each one has a role to play and this is the message of the synodal church each one is important even the smallest of us, even the weakest of us each one is important and although our role maybe very little we form part of that tapestry which is the life of the church and the expression of our faith, and that gift of faith is very important, this gift of faith is what we’ve received from our parents.” Dagdag pa ni Bishop Alarcon.
Ipinaalala ng Obispo na mahalaga sa paglalakbay bilang isang Simbahang nagkakaisa ang pagbabahagi at pagpapayabong sa biyaya ng pananampalataya, misyon at debosyon.
“Let us bring with us in this journey of a synodal church the gift of faith, the gift of service of mission and the gift of dedication and devotion, you have it. Today we ask Our Lady and the Divino Rostro may these continue to be found in our hearts, may the love of God and the love of neighbor continue to burn within us so that we may truly be sons and daughters of the Father, sons and daughters of Our Lady, brothers of our Lord.”paanyaya ni Bishop Alarcon
Magtatapos ang pagdiriwang ng Kapistahan Nuestra Señora De Peñafrancia sa pamamagitan ng isang fluvial procession sa ika-17 ng Setyembre, 2022.
Pangungunahan ng Kanyang Kabunyian Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula ang pagdiriwang ng 312th Solemnity of Our Lady of Peñafrancia sa pamamagitan ng isang banal na misa sa ika-18 ng Setyembre, 2022.
