Itinatag ng Archdiocese of Lipa ang Archdiocesan Synodal Team bilang tugon sa nagpapatuloy na synodal journey ng Simbahang Katolika.
Sa isang liham sirkular, sinabi ni Lipa Archbishop Gilbert Garcera na ang bagong tatag na pangkat ay magiging kanyang katuwang sa discernment process upang matukoy ang mga programang bibigyang-prayoridad ng Arkidiyosesis, batay sa resulta ng mga isinagawang konsultasyon sa iba’t ibang sektor ng simbahan.
Binubuo ang Archdiocesan Synodal Team ng mga pari, relihiyoso, at mga layko mula sa iba’t ibang larangan at ministeryo. Tinawag itong “laboratory of synodality” dahil ito ang magsusulong ng sama-samang pagninilay, pakikinig, at pagkilos sa loob ng lokal na simbahan.
“This team will work under my direct guidance as Archbishop, ensuring that the fruits of the Synod are integrated into the life of our local Church through prayerful discernment, broad consultation, and mission-oriented action,” ayon sa pahayag ni Archbishop Garcera sa kanyang liham sirkular.
Kaugnay nito, inaanyayahan ang lahat ng kasapi ng Archdiocesan Synodal Team at Archdiocesan Ministries na dumalo sa orientation at formation session sa darating na Martes, Agosto 26, sa St. Francis Theological Seminary, Marawoy, Lipa City, mula alas-9:00 ng umaga hanggang alas-4:00 ng hapon.
Layunin ng formation na: Ihanda ang mga kasapi sa pagbasa at pagninilay sa Pinal na Dokumento ng Sinodo, kapwa sa diwa at nilalaman; Magbigay ng kasangkapan at metodolohiya upang isulong ang pagbabagong-sinodal at makiisa sa iba’t ibang pastoral realities ng Arkidiyosesis; Itakda ang papel ng Synodal Team sa pagpapatibay ng mga proseso, paghuhubog ng mga tagapagpadaloy, at pag-uugnay ng mga inisyatibang nakaayon sa landas ng sinodo; at itaguyod ang panalangin, pagninilay, at pamumuhay na nakasentro kay Kristo bilang puso ng sinodal na formasyon at pakikilahok.
“This orientation marks an important step in the implementation phase of the Synod, which seeks to deepen the practice of synodality within each local Church,” dagdag ng Arsobispo.
Hiniling din ni Archbishop Garcera na basahin ng mga dadalo ang sumusunod bilang paghahanda: Final Document ng 16th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops; mga gabay sa Implementation Phase of the Synod (2025–2028); at ang Sulong-Padayon: The National Implementation Framework.
