Kinilala at pinasalamatan ng opisyal ng Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) ang lahat ng guro sa mga Katolikong paaralan bilang paggunita sa Catholic Teachers’ Day ngayong araw January 28, 2022.
Ayon kay Rev. Fr. Nolan Que, CEAP National Capital Region Trustee, mahalaga ang ginagampanang bokasyon ng bawat Catholic teachers at educators higit na ngayong new normal dahil sa pandemya.
“What would happen to a world without committed, dedicated, excellent, faithful, and grateful teachers? We are all living witnesses to many challenging and changing ecological landscape both natural and man-made including the pandemic that we continue to face,” ayon mensaheng ipinadala sa Radio Veritas ng Pari.
Kasabay ng Catholic Teachers Day ay ginugunita rin ngayong araw ang feast day of Saint Thomas Aquinas na patron ng pinakamatandang pamantasan ng Pilipinas, ang University of Santo Tomas.
Kinilala naman ni Father Que ang pagturing ng bawat guro sa kanilang trabaho bilang misyon ng paggabay sa mga mag-aaral tungo sa mabuting pamumuhay.
“My gratitude to all of you who have taken and embraced teaching as vocation and mission. What a difference you make among the youth by living out our vocation, our mission in our Catholic Schools!,” ayon pa sa Pari.
Apela pa ni Father Que sa bawat Catholic teachers at educator, ang patuloy na pagtulong sa mga kabataan higit na sa kanilang pagdedesisyon sa buhay katulad ng pagpilipi ng mga magiging pinuno ng bansa sa hinaharap.
Inihayag ng Pari na ito ay upang maisabuhay ang mabuting hangarin ng Panginoon sa bansa na ihalal ang mga karapat dapat na pinuno.
“May I make special appeal to all of you? Please help prepare our students in making life decisions. We must remind our youth that their choice of their leaders is not for themselves. These choices are dictated by what what God wants. It is not about the self but for the common good!,” ani Father Que.
