Nagpahayag ng suporta ang Christian Family Movement (CFM) kay Vice President Leni Robredo sa pagtanggap sa alok ng administrasyong Duterte na maging drug czar o co-chairman ng Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
Sa isinapublikong pahayag ng CFM, tiniyak nito ang pagbibigay ng suporta kay Vice President Robredo sa panibagong misyon nito na mawakasan ang problema ng illegal na droga sa bansa.
“The Christian Family Movement (CFM), a national organization that promotes and protects the sanctity of marriage, family and Christian faith among families in the country and abroad, with chapters and units in many dioceses and parishes nationwide, supports the decision of Vice President Leni Robredo in accepting the challenge and offer of President Duterte to be the Co-Chair of the Inter-agency Committee on Anti-illegal Drugs (ICAD).” pahayag ng CFM
Naniniwala rin ang CFM na bagamat marami ang nagdududa sa tunay na layunin ng administrasyong Duterte ay isa itong pagkakataon kay VP Robrero na tuwirang isulong ang makataong pagtugon sa suliranin ng droga sa bansa.
Kumbinsido ang CFM na magiging pananag ang mamamayan sa pagiging bahagi ni Robredo ng ICAD at kampanya kontra droga ng administrasyon na nababalot ng karahasan.
“While some people think that it could be a trap for the Vice President to fail and become a scapegoat, we in CFM believe that it is a wonderful opportunity to help in stopping the unlawful operations or extra judicial killings being perpetrated by some elements against hapless drug suspects. It could also be a chance to enforce the strict observance of the rule of law in the conduct of the campaign against illegal drugs in the country. Her presence in the council could also create a favorable occasion to bring to justice those involved in illegal operations or extra judicial killings.” Pahayag ng CFM
Ang Christian Family Movement ay isang organisasyon na nagsusulong sa pagprotekta ng kasagraduhan ng kasal, pamilya at pananampalataya sa Panginoon sa buong bansa.
Matatandaang naunang nagpahayag ng suporta ang ilang opisyal ng Simbahan Katolika sa matapang na pagtanggap at pagharap ni Robredo sa hamon ng administrasyon.
