Ito ang homiliya ni Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippine President at Lingayen Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas sa cannonical installation ni Archbishop Gilbert Garcera bilang Arsobispo ng Archdiocese of Lipa sa San Sebastian cathedral kahapon, Abril 21, 2017.
Ayon kay Archbishop Villegas, ang Obispo ay tinatawag kakambal ang pagkamatay sa sarili upang tunay na maging taga-pagdala ng salita ng Diyos at maging tunay na taga-paglingkod.
“Kailangan muna tayong mamatay sa ating sarili, sa ating sariling pangarap, sa ating mga sariling pananaw upang ang pananaw lamang ni Kristo ang manaig.”mensahe ni Archbishop Villegas
Tinukoy ng Arsobispo ang laganap na fake news sa social media na malaking hamon sa Simbahan para mangibabaw ang mabuting balita ng katotohanan at kararungan.
“Columnist gossip and fake news had become highly technological and even if there is so much more than truth in our society proclaim the truth nevertheless archbishop. It is no longer the pagans who killed Christian it is brothers and sisters, Christian believers of Christ who caused death of one another.”pahayag ng Arsobispo
Tinukoy din ni Archbishop Villegas ang malaking hamon din sa bawat Obispo ang usapin ng separation of the church and the state na sa katotohanan ay separation of people to God.
Pinayuhan ng arsobispo si Archbishop Garcera na patuloy na manindigan para sa salita ng Diyos at katotohanan maging sa pagsusulong ng buhay.

Noong ika-2 ng Pebrero 2017, itinalaga ni Pope Francis si Archbishop Garcera bilang arsobispo ng Archdiocese ng Lipa.
Si Archbishop Garcera ay kasalukuyang chairman ng CBCP-Episcopal Commission on Family and Life.
Pinangunahan ni Papal Nuncio Archbishop Guissipe Pinto ang installation ni Archbishop Garcera at naging homilist si Archbishop Villegas.
Dumalo sa canonical installation si Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales, Cotabato Archbishop archbishop Orlando Cardinal Quevedo, Ricardo Cardinal Vidal, mga Obispo kasama ang mga pari ng Archdiocese of Lipa at Diocese of Daet.
Ang Archdiocese of Lipa ay mayroong 65 na mga parokya na sumasakop sa may 96.8-porsiyento ng mga Katoliko.
